Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Cadet (Research Assistant)

The Australian Indigenous HealthInfoNet currently has a vacancy for an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Cadet (Research Assistant).

The cadet will join our team working on the National Indigenous Cancer Network (NICaN) project. The cadet, who will be trained and mentored by HealthInfoNet staff, will work closely with staff from the Menzies School of Health Research on the project.

Tasks will include: searching online for cancer information relevant to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples; writing, editing and proofreading website content; as well as developing email newsletters and managing the NICaN online forum and Twitter account. The position will be based at the HealthInfoNet at ECU’s Mt Lawley campus with regular travel to Menzies in Brisbane.
