Welcome to the Indigenous illicit drug use web resource - for people working, studying or interested in addressing the use of illicit drugs among Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We aim to provide quality information and resources about how to prevent and/or minimise the harm associated with the use of illicit drugs among Indigenous peoples.

The term illicit drugs refers to those drugs which are illegal to possess and supply such as cannabis and amphetamines, as well as those drugs which are prescribed lawfully but are not used for the purposes for which they were prescribed (prescription drugs such as painkillers).

This web resource also supports an Indigenous substance use yarning place by providing electronic services that encourage information sharing and collaboration among the full range of health professionals and others involved in addressing the use of illicit drugs among Indigenous peoples.
