This is the second research report which investigates Indigenous perspectives on effective community engagement for successful and sustainable employment in the private sector.
The publication reports on research that sought the opinions of Indigenous thought leaders and practitioners. The investigation and presentation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives was seen as necessary to balance what was seen as a disproportionate focus on employer perspectives and experiences to-date.

The reported findings - that Indigenous peoples' voices and knowledge are key to enabling Australian organisations build sustainable and mutually beneficial relationships and partnerships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, communities and organisations - could be applied beyond private sector employment.
The report was produced by the Diversity Council Australia in partnership with Lend Lease and Reconciliation Australia.

This report presents the findings of an independent performance audit in the Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs, the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations and the Department of Health and Ageing. The focus of the audit was the provision of programs and services to remote Indigenous communities. In particular, how these organisations attempt to reduce the risks associated with service delivery by Indigenous organisations who have a significant role in the delivery of these services on behalf of the Australian Government. This publication reports on the evaluation of the Child Health Check Initiative (CHCI) and the Expanding Health Service Delivery Initiative (EHSDI) commissioned by the Department of Health and Ageing (DoHA). The two initiatives provide different approaches to addressing the health needs of remote Aboriginal communities in the Northern Territory and are both part of the Northern Territory Emergency Response. The findings and recommendations of the independent evaluation are presented in this report.

It reports on the disparities that exist for life expectancy in these four countries between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people.
