The Palliative care services in Australia report provides detailed information on the national responses to the palliative care needs of Australians, including Indigenous Australians. This publication is the first in a planned series of annual reports providing this information. The report broadly considers three aspects of palliative care:

  • services
  • resources
  • patient outcomes.

Details from a range of national data sources, including the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare, are presented for 2009-10 and where available 2010-11. Changes over time are also shown.
