This conference presentation focuses on the issue of substance use as it relates to the social and emotional wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. The presentation contains information on culturally appropriate tests or tools for cognitive function and mental health issues, that have been developed. Included in the presentation are results from the validation (evidence that shows that the tool is sound or good for assessing cognitive functions) of the tool.
