Dental Dreaming is an oral health promotion project developed by Hume Hygiene and the Rumbalara Oral Health Centre. The aim of this project is to improve the oral health of the local Indigenous community, by fostering leadership and creating new culturally appropriate dental resources. This project uses Dental Awareness Through Art (DATA) which integrates Aboriginal dreamtime culture and art with contempory dental health messages. DATA has been used to develop a culturally appropriate oral health resource kit, which includes a rainbow snake brushing chart, message stick story box and snack pack.
