Marsat Ketchell is Program Manager for social and emotional wellbeing and alcohol, tobacco and other drugs at Queensland Health. He is a man of Torres Strait Islander descent from Thursday Island.

Marsat joined the Royal Australian Navy at age 15, where he served for 26 years. Upon returning back to Thursday Island, Marsat continued on to become the first, Indigenous or non-Indigenous, mental health worker to be permanently based in the Torres Strait and Northern Cape York Peninsular region.

Marsat attained a Bachelor of Health Science in Mental Health with Distinction and Deans Award for Academic Excellence through Charles Sturt University in 2002.

His passion is delivering his personal program, Earth Wind and Fire, which heals through cognitive behaviour therapeutic methods and his artworks. Marsat instils a visual concept to his healing practice in conjunction with clinical guidelines and the Torres Model of Primary Health Care.
