This short podcast is one of a series of messages providing information about otitis media (ear disease). It was produced as part of the Listen `ear: a Murri and Ailan ear health campaign, a local initiative of the National Indigenous ear health campaign, Care for kids' ears. The audio message is delivered by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander voice artists and includes an explanation of otitis media and information on the symptoms, health and developmental consequences, and prevention of the disease within a culturally appropriate context. It runs for 1 minute and 13 seconds.
The Listen `ear messages were originally aired on Indigenous radio station, 98.9fm, for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander listeners in south-east Queensland and were funded by the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing.
