Description

The Short wind asthma study DVD presents a number of scenarios involving Indigenous infants, children and adults who are suffering from asthma. It highlights the activities that can trigger asthma, for example, physical activity or passive smoking. In each scenario the asthma sufferer (or their carer) is shown when and how to use the medication appropriate for their age and symptoms.

The 15 minute DVD conveys important messages for the management of asthma in a clear and entertaining way.

This resource is suitable for health professionals working with Indigenous communities throughout Australia. It could be used in both individual or group settings for any age group to give asthma sufferers and their families a clear understanding of asthma, the triggers for asthma and the actions which should be taken to manage the condition.
