Description

The Aboriginal Drug and Alcohol Council (SA) developed the Alcohol and your health: Australian alcohol guidelines in 2004 to make them more culturally appropriate for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. A number of workshops in remote, rural and urban settings with Indigenous drug, alcohol and health workers were conducted and informed the production of the guidelines.

The guidelines have since been updated to reflect the 2009 National Health and Medical Research drinking guidelines; Australian guidelines: to reduce health risks from drinking alcohol. Please see links below to view the updated resource.
