The Shaken Baby Syndrome resources were developed by the WA Office of Aboriginal Health to increase awareness among Indigenous families of the effects of shaking babies. The resources, video, posters, fridge magnets and brochures were launched by the Minister for Community Development, at Princess Margaret Hospital, Perth, in September 2003. The 12 minute video demonstrates ways to settle a crying baby. It is useful for new and young parents, may be viewed by individuals or groups, and can be used as a teaching resource. The resources are not available on the website of the Office of Aboriginal Health.
