Description

Evidence based practice derives from a review of the literature and consultation with professionals in the alcohol and drug field, processes which formed the basis of these materials. As such, the term evidence based practice encompasses best practice. The summary of the Evidence based practice indicators for alcohol and other drug interventions informs contracts for service as well as service delivery in Western Australian agencies. Both managers and counsellors can use this document as a reference, as an educational tool, and as an aid to quality management and professional supervision.
