Description

This Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Practice log book consists of a series of practice skills which contain the commonly used practices and procedures that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practitioners are required to perform in the workplace.

The Practice log book has been developed using a body systems approach and is to be used as a tool to support the training and assessment of competency units for the Certificates in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care Practice. The addition of assessments for each skill is included.

The Practice log book lets learners keep a record of each time they perform a skill. The Practice log book is not a teaching tool but documentation and evidence that builds on knowledge and skills previously learnt.

This version of the Log book builds on the 2000 edition (revised in 2008). The project was funded by Health Workforce Australia.
