Description

These guidelines have been developed for health professionals who provide care to people with malignant pleural mesothelioma (MPM). The purpose of the guidelines is to reduce the challenges associated with caring for someone with MPM, by providing health workers with relevant, up-to-date evidence for the diagnosis, treatment and care of MPM. They provide treatment pathways tailored to the individual needs of patients with a strong emphasis on the supportive and palliative care needs of patients with MPM.

These guidelines include recommendations which cover the following topic areas:

A committee of clinicians and consumers with expertise in MPM were involved in the development of the guidelines.
