Description

Guidelines for the management of sexually transmissible infections (STIs) were first published in 1997. This latest edition includes new information about mandatory reporting requirements for STIs in minors, testing recommendations for high-risk populations, and changes to gonorrhoea treatment.

Different approaches to prevention, education, testing, treatment, and management of STIs and HIV are often required in different areas of Western Australia (WA), and consequently a supplement providing guidance to practioners working in endemic regions of WA (the Kimberley, Pilbara and Goldfields) is also available.
