Resource package
These free printable workbooks are a teaching and learning tool for Indigenous hospitality students.
The workbooks were designed as a resource for a nationally recognised VET hospitality course. They could also be used in other contexts, including as part of Indigenous food safety training in community stores, bistros, take-away food outlets, creches, and meals-on-wheels operations.
The topics covered by the nine workbook sets include:
The student workbooks feature many illustrations, and incorporate text and activities at appropriate language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) levels. The trainer workbooks provide instructions about how to use the activities in the student books.
A general trainers' workbook is also included in the package. It gives general advice and suggestions on supporting Indigenous learners and learners with LLN needs.
The workbooks were funded under the Workplace English language and literacy (WELL) program by the Australian Government through the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR).
