Making up your mind: mental health [MP3] (2012)

Description

This CD has been produced to promote mental health and social and emotional wellbeing among Aboriginal people in South Australia. The CD includes three tracks: an education track and two music tracks with lyrics. The tracks provide information on:

• mental health (what it is and how you achieve mental health)
• mental health problems
• social and emotional wellbeing (what it is and how you achieve social and emotional wellbeing)
• Aboriginal health services in South Australia.

The Making up your mind CD was produced with Aboriginal youth as part of Nunkuwarrin Yunti's Tune into your health project. The CD has been distributed to Aboriginal health services within South Australia.

When to use this resource

This CD is an educational resource for Aboriginal people in South Australia, but it would also be a valuable learning resource for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in other states and territories. It provides information on mental health, mental health problems, and social and emotional wellbeing. Mental health workers could give the CD to their clients and the wider community, or visit local schools and play it to students.
