Description

This comic aims to raise awareness among young Indigenous people about rheumatic fever; an inflammatory disease that affects tissues of the body including the heart, joints, brain and skin. The story centres around a group of friends and one young Indigenous man's experience of a sore throat that led to rheumatic heart disease. The comic provides information throughout the story about the symptoms, treatment and prevention of rheumatic fever. The comic has a clear message and is presented in a culturally sensitive way which aims to make it appealing to young people.
