This comic aims to raise awareness among young Indigenous people about rheumatic fever; an inflammatory disease that affects tissues of the body including the heart, joints, brain and skin. The story centres around a group of friends and one young Indigenous man's experience of a sore throat that led to rheumatic heart disease. The comic provides information throughout the story about the symptoms, treatment and prevention of rheumatic fever. The comic has a clear message and is presented in a culturally sensitive way which aims to make it appealing to young people.

The Queensland Rheumatic Heart Disease (RHD) Control Program has a state-wide coordination unit based in Cairns, and Clinical Nurse Consultants and Indigenous Health Workers located in Hospital and Health Services in North West, Townsville and Mackay, Cairns and Hinterland and Torres Cape.
