ICEE sunnies for sight day early learning centre education package (2012)

Description

This health and social studies educational package contains lesson plans and activities, which include art and singing, for use by teachers and carers at early learning centres.

The package covers these topic areas:

• eye anatomy
• sight and ability
• maintaining good eye health
• detecting vision problems.

The resource is designed to be used as part of the ICEE sunnies for sight day, an educational and fund raising initiative to communicate information about vision, eye care and the link between poverty and avoidable blindness. Teachers are able to download the packages from the ICEE website. The resource is not Indigenous-specific.
