Moving forward: surviving breast cancer (2011)

Description

Moving forward: surviving breast cancer is a television program exploring the subject of breast cancer. The program covers material such as:

• the need for supportive care once treatment finishes
• living with and managing uncertainty
• the role of the general practitioner in the multidisciplinary team for follow up care
• the role of vitamin D in breast cancer and health
• the increasing evidence on exercise and its role in preventing recurrence of breast cancer.

The program's intended target audience is women affected by cancer, their families and carers, as well as health practitioners such as breast care nurses and general practitioners. The program was broadcast on the Rural Health Education Foundation's satellite network in February 2011.
