Description

The Raising them strong resource includes a booklet, topic cards and a DVD involving stories and experiences of carers. It covers topics such as:

health
education
attachment
grief and loss
family contact
where to go for help.

After consultation with Aboriginal carers in NSW, Aboriginal caseworkers and the Aboriginal Child, Family and Community Care State Secretariat, the set of resources were developed by community services staff and launched as part of NAIDOC Week celebrations.
