Aboriginal Child Youth and Family Strategy
The Deadly tots, love yarn sing read play resources, were designed in collaboration with Ngala Nanga Mai Parent group La Perouse, Multi Mix Mob Marrickville and Koori Kids play group Menai. The resources were designed as part of a communication strategy to share evidence based information on the social emotional and intellectual development of children aged 0-5 years with families and communities of Aboriginal children in the south east, inner west and northern regions of Sydney. The Deadly tots - no gammon project aims to raise community awareness and promote the social, emotional and intellectual development of Indigenous children, and highlights the importance of early literacy during the first five years.
