This documentary is part of the Improving Indigenous eye health project by the Rural Health Education Foundation. The program highlights the success of three case studies from the Northern Territory which include:
- a model of coordinated eye care through the Regional eye health program
- the use of Trachoma story kits in clinics, schools and communities for the prevention of trachoma
- an interview with Dr Tim Henderson about the role of ophthalmologists in the provision of specialist eye health services.
This program was first broadcast on the foundation's satellite network on Tuesday 27 September 2011 and is now available as a DVD resource. It is accredited for continuing professional development (CPD)/continuing professional education (CPE) by the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine, the Royal College of Nursing Australia and the Australian Physiotherapy Association.
