This resource kit has been developed as a training tool to help Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health workers to recognise and respond to clients with mental illnesses and/or alcohol and other drug related issues. The kit includes power point slides and discussion cards and depending on the needs of the audience, the facilitator can choose to use either: all of the power point slides and discussion cards; some of the power point slides and discussion cards; or only the discussion cards.

The resource package satisfies the skills and knowledge required for three units of competency in the HLT33207 Certificate III Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander primary health care qualification.
