This brochure is part of a set of three brochures created by the Drug and Alcohol Office of Western Australia to provide information on laws surrounding cannabis-related offences. These laws came into effect in August 2011 and are only applicable to West Australian residents.
The brochure provides information on Cannabis Intervention Requirements (CIR) for adults, including how to respond to a CIR if issued by police.

The Cannabis Intervention Requirement (CIR) is a Western Australian diversion program that may be used as an option by police who have the discretion to issue a CIR notice to eligible people.
