The television program Smoking: an Indigenous health challenge, funded by the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing, will be broadcast on television in May 2011. It will also be available to view online for free or to purchase on DVD. The program assists health practitioners with the knowledge and understanding to help Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people quit smoking. A range of interventions to both help prevent tobacco use and assist Indigenous Australians to quit are examined.
