Description

This flipchart has been developed for mental health practitioners with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients. The flipchart has been written in plain English and uses drawings to explain the causes, symptoms, and treatment of mental illness. The aim of the resource is to improve understanding about mental illness among Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

When to use this resource

This flipchart is for mental health practitioners to use when working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients and their families. The practitioner should use the flipchart as an educational tool to explain the causes, symptoms, and treatment of mental illness. The flipchart includes information to guide the practitioner on how to use the resource.
