Developed by New South Wales (NSW) Government to reduce the rate of juvenile offending, the Safe Aboriginal youth (SAY) program provides two different youth support options, implemented by non-government organisations and operating in 11 NSW communities. The SAY patrol model provides a safe transport and outreach service for young people who are on the streets late at night. The SAY activity model provides supervised recreational and structured activities and access to food.
