Description

This factsheet contains information on depression. It provides answers to the following questions:

The resource was designed to include artwork and drawings that are culturally appropriate for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. It was produced as part of a resource package by the Australian Integrated Mental Health Initiative (AIMHI). This initiative was a five year project which aimed to explore mental health in remote communities and find new ways to deliver services.

When to use this resource

This factsheet can be used by health professionals when working with Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander clients with depression. Workers could read through the factsheet with their client and also provide the client with a copy of the factsheet as a reminder of how to manage their depression.
