New South Wales Community Services
Families Human Services NSW
Sydney
Booklet
This resource was created for Indigenous parents, families and community workers in the northern Sydney region of NSW. It provides information on good parenting and community practices such as cuddling, playing, singing, reading, listening, telling stories and talking, as well as giving information on what babies and children do at different ages, and examples of games and activities. This resource also provides contacts to help with parenting. Where possible, the resource uses language of the Guringai and Darug people and the term 'cuchicum' is used to describe baby/small child.
