This resource, Playgroups: playing to get ready for school, is a wire bound, laminated book that can be used by communities located in the Ngaanyatjarra Lands in Western Australia to help them with the set up of children's playgroups.
A variety of questions are covered in the book and include how to set up playgroups, the roles mothers play at playgroup, suitable activities for playgroup and ways children learn through play.
The book is built upon experiences from communities of Blackstone and Warburton in Western Australia, and conversations about women and children, playgroups and learning through play.
