The Living strong program encouraged participants to seek a healthy lifestyle through good nutrition and physical activity and teaches them life skills to be able to do this in their daily lives.
The Living strong facilitators' manual and CD was a step by step guide to running the Living strong program at a community level. It included Powerpoint presentations of each of the Living strong workshop flipcharts including:
Living strong was designed to be delivered by health staff such as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers and staff in Community Health Services as well as in non-government health services.
The manual is no longer available, however the Living strong program is still being delivered to some Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
