This leaflet has been developed by Epilepsy Action Australia in conjunction with Ord Valley Aboriginal Health Service and the Kimberley Aboriginal Medical Services Clinic for the purpose of educating Indigenous peoples about fitting. The information contained in the leaflet focuses on the following areas: what is a fit; indications/signs that someone is fitting; how to help someone who is fitting; and how persons with epilepsy can look after themselves to minimise fitting. The leaflet uses language and artwork that is designed to appeal to an Indigenous audience.
