This booklet outlines how to identify children who may have a conductive hearing loss, and provides information on how hearing loss can contribute to behaviour problems, anxiety and learning difficulties. It also discusses what families, childcare centres and schools can do to minimise the negative effects of these listening problems experienced by children during their childhood.
This resource is particularly relevant for people who work or regularly interact with young children, when ear infections are most common, and with Indigenous children of all ages who commonly experience persistent ear disease during childhood.
The booklet, produced by Phoenix Consulting, is available to order from their Ear Troubles website.
