Description

This resource package is designed for teachers and educators and provides information on dugong and marine turtle in a Torres Strait context. The purpose of the package is to offer Torres Strait Islanders access to dugong and marine turtle related information from around the world.

Activities in the package are linked to Education Queensland's 'The New Basics Project', specifcally the 'Rich Task' component. Torres Strait languages feature throughout the resources.

The package, which comes with an accompanying CDROM, includes the following:

Project material from the North Australian Indigenous Land and Sea Management Alliance (NAILSMA) Dugong and Marine Turtle Project is also provided.
