Psychiatric medication information: a guide for patients and carers (2009)

Description

This 24-page booklet was developed to provide patients and carers with information about some psychiatric medication. Originally produced in 2007, this version was updated in 2009. The booklet is not intended to be culturally relevant to Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander peoples, and contains general information about medication as part of the treatment of mental illnesses. It also provides more information about groups of medication:

• antipsychotics
• antidepressants
• mood stabilisers
• anxiolytics
• medication for side effects.
