The water handbook: a guide for management of small water supplies in Australian Aboriginal settlements (2008)

Description

This handbook is to help people working with, and living in small remote communities (isolated from major or rural centres with an Aboriginal population of less than one hundred and with no more than twenty houses) to establish a water management plan.

The handbook:

• shares ideas and practical tips on establishing and maintaining safe water management practices for small water systems
• provides guidance in developing small settlement water management plans
• provides additional information currently available (see reference list).

When appropriate, specific water quality and risk assessment tools are recommended throughout the text.
