Nganyji - 'All of us' [DVD] (2009)

Description

This video explores how Indigenous and non-Indigenous health care providers can best work in partnership. Shot at Yarrabah, North Queensland, the action revolves around a new nurse entering this remote Indigenous community and examines Indigenous expectations of her and strategies which will help her to overcome culture shock and isolation. Discussions with community resource people, reflections by experienced RANs, and a reenacted case study provide a rich source of teaching materials which enable non-Indigenous health professionals to explore culturally safe health care delivery for Indigenous clients.
