Description

This podcast promotes the benefits of walking as a physical activity. Walking is good for the heart and is easy, free, and fun to do in a group. Endorsed by the Heart Foundation which has over 300 walking groups, the podcast encourages people to get outside and walk.

The podcast is one of a series of messages providing information related to cardiovascular disease and physical activity for Indigenous Australians. It was produced by the Brisbane Indigenous Media Association (BIMA) for the Move program. The Move messages were originally aired on Indigenous radio station, 98.9fm, for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander listeners in south-east Queensland and were funded by the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing. The message runs for 1 minute and 35 seconds.
