Description

The Let's yarn about lung cancer DVD aims to get people looking out for, and listening for signs of lung cancer. Healthy lungs are vital to living a full and healthy life, however, lung cancer is a very common cancer among Aboriginal men and women.

The DVD provides reliable information from a team of health professionals working in community health and cancer services. It includes stories from people who live with risks or have experienced possible symptoms of lung cancer. Awareness of both the risks and symptoms of lung cancer and going to see a doctor or Aboriginal Health Worker if symptoms are present, will lead to better outcomes for individuals and families in the community.

This DVD was made possible through support from: Lung Foundation Australia, Cancer Australia, Hume Regional Integrated Cancer Service, Albury Wodonga Aboriginal Health Service, Woomera Aboriginal Corporation, Aboriginal playgroups, Mungabareena Aboriginal Corporation, Albury Aunty Jean's chronic care program, Murrumbidgee Local Health District, Jindera Football/Netball Club, and community.
