The Infant feeding guidelines are aimed at health workers to assist them in providing consistent advice to the general public about breastfeeding, infant feeding and provide clear evidence-based recommendations that supports optimum infant nutrition.

These Infant feeding guidelines are a revision of the 2003 edition and incorporate the latest scientific evidence. They were prepared by experts in paediatric nutrition, nutrition research, nutrition communication, public health and primary health.
