The MAKINGtheLINK Indigenous program resource package provides information about substance use and mental health issues that is specially designed for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. This package includes a teacher's manual and classroom activities, and a PowerPoint presentation for staff and parents.

The teacher's manual and classroom activities includes:

• background information about the program
• 10 activities (including two supplementary activities)
• extra information for teachers.

The PowerPoint presentation for staff and parents includes:

• information about the MAKINGtheLINK program
• information about the 10 activities for students
• supplementary information from the program.

When to use this resource

This educational resource package can be used by teachers, social workers, youth workers and other people who work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people. The activities in this resource package can be used with small or large groups of school-aged youths to encourage them to seek help for problems related to drug use and mental health. The activities are appropriate for young people in urban and rural and remote locations, and are free to download from the National Cannabis Prevention and Information Centre website.
