Description

This resource package provides information for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people about how to use 'R U OK? Day' to connect with Elders, family, and friends. 'R U OK? Day' is a national day of action, established to encourage all Australians to connect with people in their community by asking 'are you ok?' and then listening to the answer. Connecting with people can help stop small problems from becoming bigger.

This resource package includes:

Abstract adapted from R U OK?

When to use this resource

The importance of connecting with other people should be communicated to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. To help spread the message, these resources could be made available in places regularly visited by community members, and people working in health could talk to their clients about the importance of connecting with Elders, family, and friends.
