These clinical practice guidelines aim to provide health care workers, particularly prescribers of opioid treatments, with the most up-to-date knowledge and current level of best practice for the treatment of withdrawal from alcohol and other drugs. This includes heroin and other opioids, benzodiazepines, cannabis, and psychostimulants.
The guidelines were produced by the Mental Health and Drug and Alcohol Office, New South Wales Department of Health.
