Description

The Umbakumba aged care program provides community services for older people in the remote Indigenous community of Umbakumba, located off the Gulf of Carpentaria on Groote Eylandt. This video highlights the work carried out by the local women from the community, who keep the program running from day to day. The video was produced by local Aboriginal media organisation Pintubi, Anmatjerre, Warlpiri (PAW) Media as part of a series of videos made in communities that were identified under the Council of Australian Governments' (COAG) National partnership agreement on remote service delivery.
