This website is intended for use as an online learning tool for staff in human services organisations. The purpose of the website is to help users improve their knowledge of Indigenous history, culture and society, and to show the importance of this knowledge for service delivery.
The website is divided into three parts:
Each part covers a range of topics, such as History, Family and kinship and Image and identity. The website provides a range of teaching and learning resources across topics, including background readings, practice tips, links and tests. Tests are accessible in two forms: either as brief self-administered tests, or as extended tests that can be used formally as part of staff training and development activities. The website was produced by the Muswellbrook Shire Council in the Upper Hunter Valley, New South Wales (NSW), and contains some regionally specific information.
