This program explores the issues involved in healthy hearing for Indigenous communities. It discusses the barriers to achieving better outcomes for children with otitis media (OM), and proposes strategies to overcome them. It also discusses diagnosis, management, and treatment of the different stages/forms of OM. The case studies involved provide good models of how to treat OM successfully in Indigenous communities, with particular focus on Indigenous children, and the complications that arise in rural and remote areas.
