Guidelines on the provision of sustainable eye care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians (2010)

Description

This document provides a guide to optometrists who intend to provide eye care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in Australia. The guidelines were produced to assist optometrists to provide sustainable and culturally appropriate eye care to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in Australia and in doing so help close the gap in eye health outcomes between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and non-Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians. The document additionally includes lists of resources and organisations for further information and assistance.

The guidelines were developed in consultation with the Association's Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Eye Health Working Group.
