For kids' sake: a family sensitive policy and practice toolkit aims to minimise cases of child abuse or neglect by increasing collaboration between child and adult service agencies. It is a new initiative developed by the National Centre for Education and Training of Addiction (NCETA) to improve the safety and welfare of children with parents who use alcohol or other drugs. The toolkit helps to build a bridge between the alcohol and other drugs (AOD) treatment and child protection sectors to improve cooperation and collaboration.
