Delirium (2007)

Description

This two-page factsheet was developed to raise awareness about delirium among Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. The factsheet includes artwork to make it appealing to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. The resource provides information on the following questions:

• what is delirium?
• what makes me delirious?
• what helps if you have delirium?
• how do you get better?

This resource was developed by the Australian Integrated Mental Health Initiative in collaboration with the Northern Territory Dementia Behaviour Management Advisory Service.

When to use this resource

This factsheet can be used to assist health professionals when working with Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander clients with delirium. The factsheet could be given to Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander people who want further information on this mental health issue, for example, how to deal with delerium, and who can help.
